Outra razão temos para querer a Turquia na União Europeia: para nos fazer companhia... ora leiam este comentário no site da OCDE:
"OECD countries have seen significant increases in the proportion of the adult population attaining tertiary education over the last decades. In 2002, for the 25-64 year-old population, 16 countries out of 30 are grouped together within a range of 10 points between 23 and 33% of the population having attained the tertiary level. Three of them are performing remarkably high: Canada, Japan and the United States. Conversely, two countries are significantly below this average percentage in tertiary attainment where less than 10% of the population attain tertiary qualifications: Portugal and Turkey."
Portanto, o nosso nível educacional é comparável ao turco, embora se se fizer a subanálise dos 25-34 anos nota-se um pequeno acelerar português, resultado do pulular recente de cursos e cursinhos...
É impressionante este nosso atraso, mais ainda quando por exemplo a nossa esperança média de vida ao nascer é cerca de 10 anos superior à turca!
